We Fixed One of the Biggest Problems on the 6.7 Cummins

In this episode of the 2018 Ram 2500 Cummins build, we install the SPELAB Intake Horn and SPELAB Grid Heater Delete Plate to help improve airflow, increase horsepower, and add reliability to the Cummins platform. We also break down one of the biggest issues with the factory Cummins grid heater setup — the factory stud and nut can loosen or break over time, potentially dropping into the engine and causing catastrophic damage. This simple and inexpensive upgrade is cheap insurance to help protect your engine and eliminate a known weak point on the 6.7 Cummins. If you own a Cummins truck, this is one upgrade you definitely need to know about. 2018 Ram 2500 "Weekend Hauler"- Exterior Upgrades + Wheels, Brakes, Leveling Kit & More

In this episode of the Weekend Hauler project, we start transforming our 2018 Ram 2500 with a full round of exterior upgrades and functional improvements. We kick things off by installing a set of Westin HDX running boards to give the truck a tougher look and better accessibility. From there, we upgrade the lighting with Anzo headlights and take a look at matching Anzo taillights to clean up the overall appearance. Next up, we install a 2-inch BDS leveling kit to even out the stance and make room for a more aggressive wheel and tire setup. On the performance side, we upgrade the braking system with Summit Racing drilled and slotted rotors paired with PowerStop brake pads to improve stopping power and reliability. To finish it all off, we bolt on a fresh set of 20x9 wheels wrapped in 35” General Grabber ATX tires, completely changing the look and presence of this truck. This build is all about creating a clean, functional truck that still looks right at home whether it’s hauling on the weekend or turning heads on the street. ⸻ Parts & Upgrades in This Video: ● Westin HDX Running Boards ● Anzo Headlights & Taillights ● 2” BDS Leveling Kit ● Summit Racing Drilled & Slotted Rotors ● PowerStop Brake Pads ● 20x9 Wheels ● 35” General Grabber ATX Tires ⸻ Summit Racing Part Numbers:(Add your part numbers here) VXW-S1452 4 WHEELS WSA-56-13565 1 STEPS ANN-111439 1 HEADLIGHTS ANN-311318 1 TAILIGHTS RAW-RS66454R9 1 LEVELING KIT SUM-BRC-67072PR 1 FRONT ROTORS SUM-BRC-67073PR 1 REAR ROTORS PWR-Z36-1399 1 FRONT PADS PWR-Z36-1400 1 REAR PADS● Tires: General Grabber A/T x 35x12.5-20 ⸻ If you’re building your own truck or looking for simple upgrades that make a big difference, this is a solid setup to follow.
